Dr. Pamela Galloway is a board certified
general surgeon. She received her M.D. from the Medical
College of Virginia, followed by a residency in Anatomic
and Clinical Pathology and a fellowship in Neuropathology
at Case Western Reserve University.
During her career in pathology,
Dr. Galloway served as Assistant Professor of Pathology
at Northeastern Ohio University's College of Medicine.
Dr. Galloway performed research in colon cancer, brain
tumors and Alzheimer's disease.
Dr. Galloway then completed
a residency in general surgery at Akron City Hospital
(Summa Health System) in Akron, Ohio in 1996. During
her practice of surgery in the Cleveland, Ohio area,
Dr. Galloway established a Breast Center at Southwest
General Health Center and served as chairman of the
Cancer Committee.
Dr. Galloway trained in
sentinel lymph node biopsy technique at Ohio State University,
and is certified in breast ultrasound by the American
Society of Breast Surgeons. She is a fellow of the American
College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society
of Breast Surgeons.
Dr. Galloway moved to Wausau
in 2003, and has worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in
Marshfield and St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander.
